A Montessori teacher functions as a facilitator of learning. Born and raised in Hong Kong, I earned a Bachelor’s degree in English from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After college, I taught high school for four years before deciding to relocate to the Bay Area. I have studied both Early Childhood Education and Administration at Chabot College. Before joining GMIS, I worked as the office manager at another Bilingual Montessori school. I am happy and excited to join the GMIS community, interacting, working and supporting all the teachers, staff, parents and children.

My full name is Elisha and I was born and raised in Los Angeles. I have two younger sibling and am the first in my family to attend college. From early on I had an interest in teaching, tutoring my classmates while in high school and volunteering at children’s summer camps.
