From a young age, at GMIS, we inspire our children to think of others. As a school we have supported various charitable causes including, SMILE, St Jude Children’s Hospital and more. As families we support each other through times where a bit of help might be appreciated.
Children are natural givers. As children begin to play with each other and cooperate in their play, they begin to see the value of sharing. True sharing implies empathy, the ability to get into another’s mind and see things from their viewpoint. Children who have been on the receiving end of generosity follow the model they’ve been given and become generous themselves.
Serving Berkeley and the Bay Area, our preschool is dedicated to providing immersive bilingual Montessori education in English and Mandarin Chinese.
